I'm a huge Legend fan, its very short and I know every hidden location without even having to think twice on it, its also the ONLY TR I have ever completed all the time trials on lol! But it has a great connection between Lara and the team I enjoy, and it was the first HUGE step forward from Laras rather tank like movement from games like Revelation (which was the first TR I owned). But in the end they decided to make Chronicles. Actually the original developers or Tomb Raider planned to kill Lara in The Last Revelation, because they went out of ideas for the next Tomb Raider game. Natla felt a little lame for a goddess in my opinion.Įdit: Small fun fact. But what I think Legend did better was the final boss battle. Where you get the Anubis artifact I think. There are still some parts of some levels that I didn't manage to reache, for example in the Obelisk of Khamoon in the room with all the blades. And I also agree with that the puzzles were harder in Anniversary than in Legend. This is why they did the reboot in 2013 (which I loved). I'm guessing the older tomb raiders are very similar in gameplay. I mean legend, anniversary, and underworld all kinda play the same. Honestly, it looks like there's a ton of tomb raider games and fans were probably just getting tired of the same gameplay. I have only completed the first couple levels of underworld, but it seems promising. I basically breezed through that game whereas in anniversary there were a number of parts in which I really had to stop and think. Legend was ok, but I felt that there was just to much shooting/action and the puzzles did not seem as challenging as anniversary. I had a nintendo when I was a kid so never got to play the old games on playstation. It's actually what got me into the series. Originally posted by SeriousBusiness:I liked anniversary alot. With my back story being told I would like to hear your reason about why you didn't like Legend the whole trilogy around it. YOu could say Legend made me interested in the franchise again and after Legend I bought Anniversary without even reading any reviews, because I expected it to be as awesome as Legend was. So basically my first TR games were Chronicles and AoD and when Legend was released after the mess that AoD sometimes was I was all like " Wow, finally a real Tomb Raider game again". I played Tomb Raider 2, Tomb Raider 3, am currently playing The last Revelation and played Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness with 12, 13 years. Now I want to say, that I'm not a Tomb Raider noob. Afte rplaying some of the older Tomb Raiders I know that it has more action sequences than the previous games, but there must be more I assume. Like the title says why are people saying that Tomb Raider Legend and the other two games of the trilogy are bad Tomb Raider games? I don't want to say they are wrong, but just want to hear their opinion about it.
